Welcome to Peachland on the Lake

The official home of Lake Okanagan's famous Ogopogo, Peachland is located on highway 97 midway between the cites of Kelowna and Penticton.  Visitors to the village of Peachland will enjoy the boutique shopping, wonderful restaurants, winery tours, cafes, spas, craft and farmer markets, and much more. All situated on 8 kilometers (5 miles) of lake front beaches and supervised swimming areas.  Annual local events offer a variety of family oriented entertainment and recreation.  Existing community facilities in Peachland and access to the more developed amenities of nearby West Kelowna make Peachland an attractive home for families and businesses alike in the active, growing, beautiful

Okanagan Valley.

The Peachland Chamber of Commerce encourages and supports a healthy Peachland business community by offering benefits to the Chamber membership that include business oriented events and access to competitive rates for a variety of business needs.  The Chamber is also the voice for businesses of Peachland representing and advocating with the District of Peachland to maintain an encouraging business environment.

Welcome to the District of Peachland, 5 Bloom 2009 Provincial Communities in Bloom Winner! Come and see for yourself why Peachland was selected in its class as a 5 Bloom Community competing provincially with other Communities. The 5 Bloom award designation declares a winner in the Provincial Competition.

The competition is based on eight criteria, Tidiness, Environmental Awareness, Community Involvement, Natural and Cultural Heritage, Tree/Urban Forest Management, Landscape Areas, Floral Displays, Turf and Groundcovers.
There are many other components that are included in the 8 criteria and Peachland was further recognized for “Community Involvement”.

Visit us anytime and experience what the Provincial CIB Judges saw. Just a few of their evaluated comments:
“The approach off Highway 97 into Peachland provides you with a vista of Okanagan Lake that is stunning. One cannot help but to be intimately aware of the vast number of people enjoying Peach land’s unique feature of eleven kilometres of public beach waterfront on Okanagan Lake”.

“Peachland is a holiday mecca for thousands of visitors. The Peachland Council and Municipal Staff have developed and maintained the infrastructure, beachfront, parks and other aspects that make living and visiting this community a true and pleasurable experience”.

“We truly believe that Peachland residents are blessed to be part of a passionate and caring community”.

“We hope to revisit someday, not as judges, but on our own time with our families”.

Communities In Bloom is about People, Plants and Pride. Visit us in Summer and witness happy people, beautiful floral displays and gardens, and feel the sense of public and civic pride.  During the Competition, Volunteers planted over 2000 trees and plants for all to enjoy. Plantings were to replenish riparian areas as well as for beautification. This reflects the ancient Greek Proverb: “A civilization flourishes when people plant trees under  which they will never sit'”.
Come and see how we are flourishing!
