Peachland is the official home of Okanagan lakes most famous resident. Local First Nations folklore specifically places the lair of Ogopogo or N'ha-a-itk at a cave under Squally Point near Rattlesnake Island offshore from Peachland. Peachland is located on highway 97 midway between the cities of Kelowna and Penticton. Visitors to Peachland will enjoy the boutique shopping, wonderful restaurants, winery tours, cafes, spas, craft and farmer markets, golf course and much more. All situated on 11 kilometres (6.84 miles) of lake front beaches and supervised swimming areas. Annual local events offer a variety of family oriented entertainment and recreation. Existing community facilities in Peachland and access to the more developed amenities of nearby West Kelowna make Peachland an attractive home for families and businesses alike in the active, growing, beautiful Okanagan Valley.

Peachland Fast Facts:
The origin of the town’s name came in the late 1890’s, after visiting a local orchard on the Trepanier delta J.M. Robinson, founder of Peachland proclaimed ‘This is absolutely a miracle to have peaches so far north into Canada.” And decided his town’s name was to be Peachland.
The first estate winery established in the Okanagan Valley was in Peachland.
The first ice-wine was made in North America was made in Peachland.
The first, and one of the few, all-brother, nine-member baseball teams— the Cousins family—was from Peachland. (The baseball park in town is called “Cousins Park”)
